Week 4 of the ESDW: Chabé and eco-driving, for more responsible mobility

As part of the fourth European Week for Sustainable Development (EWSD), we are highlighting one of the key aspects of our environmental commitment: eco-driving.

Over several generations, Chabé has developed unrivalled expertise in the private chauffeur services sector. As Europe’s leading employer of chauffeurs, with over 350 year-round employees, we are fully aware of our role in combating climate change and reducing our carbon footprint.

Training for more responsible driving

At Chabé, our chauffeur training goes far beyond technical skills and client service. We have set up an eco-driving training program designed to promote more responsible, environmentally-friendly driving.

Eco-driving is a set of practices designed to reduce fuel consumption and, consequently, CO2 emissions. This approach fits in perfectly with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, making an active contribution to protecting the environment while ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients.

The benefits of eco-driving
  • Reduced CO2 emissions

Thanks to eco-driving training, every chauffeur trained significantly reduces CO2 emissions. On average, this represents a reduction of 236 kg of CO2 per person trained each year. This reduction contributes directly to our overall objective of reducing our carbon footprint.

  • Stress reduction

Eco-driving is not just about reducing emissions. It also includes driving techniques aimed at making the driving experience more serene, thus reducing stress for our chauffeurs. Smooth, soothing driving not only ensures safe journeys, but also enhances passenger comfort.

  • Safer driving

Eco-driving focuses on anticipatory and safe driving, which reduces the risk of accidents while promoting better management of fuel consumption.

A sustainable commitment

Chabé’s eco-driving training is a concrete illustration of our commitment to sustainable development. By reducing CO2 emissions and promoting more responsible driving, we are actively contributing to the fight against climate change.

During this fourth SEDD week, we are reaffirming our determination to continue developing initiatives that have a positive impact on the environment, while offering our clients a quality transport service that respects the planet.
